STAUNCH DEVOTEES OF THE ALMIGHTY

STAUNCH DEVOTEES OF THE ALMIGHTY

INTRODUCTION

There are lot of staunch devotees of the almighty during the past periods. They have sacrificed their food, water, and their lives itself while expressing their bhakti on the almighty. Staunch devotees are also called as ardent and sincere devotees of the almighty. Ancient Alwars and Nayanmars can be cited as the best examples for staunch devotees of Lord Vishnu and Shiva. These devotees would never get angry with the god, even when they were tested by the god. They are the dedicated devotees of the god, who acts as an example for others.

At the present world, excepting some few pontiffs in the Mutts and in the temples, most of the devotees are not showing 100% interest towards showing their attention on the god. They are considering bhakti as one of their routine work, similar to going to the offices, spending time by watching the entertainment media like TV and Internet. At this present period, allocating only a few minutes time for worshipping the god is not sufficient. Even at the time of doing our office work, our mind must keep chanting the names of the god. At this present Kali Yuga, there is no certainty for our life. We didn’t know, whether we would get up properly from our bed in the next day morning. Hence we should allocate at least a few hours in a day, to praise, sing and chant the names and mantras of the god.

If we keep doing the regular prayers, then we would not suffer much in our lives. Instead of suffering from severe diseases, through the grace of the god, we would suffer only from a small fever, and that also would last only for a few days. God is watching all of our actions. If we show our sincerity with him, then he would throw all of our problems in the dust bin, give good will power, physical and mental strength, boosts our spiritual energy, and would blossom our lives. Hence let us try to become staunch devotees of the almighty like Bhakta Prahalada, Dhruva and Markandeya, and be blessed.
