Introduction
Recently we would have read in the social medias, that Lord Surya, the sun god chants the “OM” Mantra from the Surya Mandala, the divine abode of Lord Surya, likewise, the great Vishnu devotee Sri Dhruva also still chants the great Vishnu Mantra, “OM NAMO NARAYANA”, from his Dhruva Mandala, and these details were mentioned in the Holy Text, Srimad Bhagavatham. Even sometimes I used to think, how come a child has become a powerful star on the skies just by meditating the god only for a few months! But actually it is not like that! Vishnu Bhakti was mixed up in the blood of Dhruva from his childhood itself, similar to the great Vishnu Bhagavata Sri Prahalada. He keeps chanting the powerful Vishnu Mantra for several millions of years, and that’s why still he is able to live in his world without any difficulties. Dhruva is also assigned the job of assisting the Vishnu Devotees with regard to spirituality, and those who worship the great Dhruva are to be considered as worshipping Lord Vishnu himself!
Since Lord Vishnu permanently dwells on the soul of Dhruva, he would remain in his position forever, and even during the time of deluge, he would be alive. Lord Krishna in his Bhagavat Gita Teachings tells like this, “Oh my Dear Arjuna, I would always dwell on the souls of my staunch devotees like Prahalada and Dhruva, since they consider me as everything in their life. They never think about anything, but keep worshipping me alone, and, hence I would never leave them alone, and I would stay with them permanently by dwelling on their souls”.
Dhruva Star shines brightly since he receives the permanent blessings of Lord Vishnu. He is considered as the king among the stars, and he used to worship Ma Rohini, the star goddesses and the pious consort of Lord Chandra Bhagavan, by considering her as an aspect of Ma Shakti Devi. He is worshipped even by the celestials like Lord Indra and by the sages, since he is considered as one of the best Bhagavathas of Lord Vishnu.
