INTRODUCTION
The popular Amudha Malai Murugan Temple was mentioned in the holy Skanda Purana, and it was visible until during the previous Dwapara Yuga. After the start of this Kali Yuga, this temple was hidden from the eyes of the ordinary people, but this temple is visible to the eyes of the sages, saints, siddhars and celestials like Indra, Narada, Surya and Chandra. Those who visit this temple would become immortal and they would lead a prosperous life at least for a few lakhs of years, since this temple hill is covered with full of Amudha(Divine Nectar), and lot of medicinal herbs are also available.
Unlike ordinary human beings like us, Lord Muruga would never sleep and never eats, yet still he remains active by graciously looking on us through his merciful eyes. He remains active on all the 365 days in a year, and still he will be like that. Realising Lord Muruga is very difficult, unless if we undergo regular worship on him. The great almighty would never take rest, since his entire thoughts focuses only on us! He would keep on thinking about how to reduce our sins, how to invoke us in the bhakti path and how to make us into a spiritual person. Without understanding all about these things, if we simply ignore him, then we would only be the worst loser, since god doesn’t need our help!
It is also believed that this holy mountain is situated nearby the Holy Himalayan Mountain Ranges.
Still now, few celestials used to visit this wonderful holy hill during the Karthigai Deepam festival day, and they would light lamps on the top of the hill. During the Karthigai Deepam festival day, though we are not able to view this mountain, however, we can praise this Amudha Malai Murugan by the way of singing divine songs on him.
The great Siddhar Saint Bogar has sung in praise of Amudha Malai Murugan in one of his songs, which are as follows:-
Hey Amudha Malai Muruga, Un Ninaive Enakku Amudamai Irukindrade(Mere thoughts on you itself makes me to feel as if I have drank sufficient quantity of the Amudham(Divine Nectar)). The holy Amudha Malai can also be compared to Arunachala Mountain, though it is invisible to our eyes.

from the troubles. Give your full support, Oh the holy consort of
Valli and Devasena,
you are the chief among the gods, you are very
merciful, compassionate and affectionate towards your devotees,

cannot be described even by your parent Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati,

Oh my Dear Amudha Malai Muruga, you are the source of everything in the world, through your divine look, even the dreaded diseases and the sins of your devotees would be removed.
Oh my Dear Amudha Malai Muruga, you contain the wonderful weapon spear on your hand, you are showing your utmost grace on your devotees and your wonderful divine plays resemble to that of Lord Krishna.

guardian to Lord Devendra,
and you have removed his sorrow, by
killing the dreaded demon Surapadman.
Oh my Dear Amudha Malai Muruga, you are wearing a diamond crown filled with full of pearls, and your ear rings glitters like that of fire, and your stunning beauty shakes everybody.
Oh my Dear Amudha Malai Muruga, those who chant your names and Mantras, would get all sorts of prosperity in their lives, those who takes bath on the holy pond of your temples, would be considered as taking bath in the Holy Ganges water itself, those who eat your wonderful Prasad in the temples, would get the same taste of the Holy divine nectar.

those
who call you from any part of the world, would be protected by you
immediately. Those who do charity work on your name, would live like
the wealth god Kubera in their life.
Oh my Dear Amudha Malai Muruga, those who keep you on their soul, would become your most favourite devotees. Those who grant flowers to you at your temples would be protected by you, those who dedicate their entire life on worshipping you, would become your true Devotees. By worshipping you heartily, even the dumb would be able to speak, deaf would be able to hear, blind would be able to see, lame would be able to walk, poor would become rich, sorrows would turn into happiness, and totally, your devotees would lead a heavenly life in this earth itself.
