Narada

INTRODUCTION:

Narada  is a sage, and a musician. In Mahabharata and Ramayana, he was mentioned as a great divine sage and also a fortune teller.

BHAKTI AND IMPORTANCE

According to ancient puranas, Narada travels to several divine lokas. He carries a  tambura with him, and he is regarded as the great ancient musician. He is a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, and also he utters his name as “NARAYANA”, “NARAYANA”, and visits several worlds. He will not remain in one place, he will keep on travelling to several divine worlds. Though his activity is considered as mischievous, his activity at the end will be good. The Narada Bhakti Sutra is attributed to him.

Narada is considered as  well versed with Vedas,Upanishads and Puranas. He is worshipped and welcomed by the divine devas for his knowledge. According to ancient legends, even demons also respected and worshipped him. He is called as “DEVA RISHI NARAD”. He is very  intelligent and contains very powerful memory. He is capable of answering any questions placed on to him. He is the master of  spiritual philosophy.

PREVIOUS BIRTH

In his previous birth, Narada was born as the son of a servant, and both of them served their masters, who were the priests. Narada and his mother were received some Vishnu Prasad from their masters and they had it.
In course of time, he went to the forest and meditated in search for the divine enlightenment.
Lord Narayana appeared before him and blessed him. After his death, he took birth as  "Narada". Narada is considered as an AMSA of Lord Vishnu.
Among the few temples dedicated to sage Narada, there is one famous Sri Narada Muni temple at Chigateri, Karnataka.

CONCLUSION

Narada Muni is a great saint, a divine philosopher and a musician. He is a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. He has received spiritual powers from Lord Vishnu. He is still wandering around the earth and is blessing the BHAKTAS of God. We can pray to him, for our wellbeing and prosperous life, and for the prosperity of the entire world.
