INTRODUCTION : 
Kaniyappa Swamigal was born in the year 1902 into a pious Mudaliar Family. From his childhood itself, he was very much interested in seeking spiritual enlightenment, and visited nearby temples of Lord Shiva and done severe meditation. After completing his basic education, he has joined in a circus company, and traveled throughout India.
At his teenage, he left his job and become a saint and awakened his Kundalini power, and also helped others to reach the spiritual ladder. He stayed in north Chennai and propagated the importance of Hinduism and gave lectures on Shiva Puran and composed and sung songs on Lord Shiva in the temples. Through his spiritual powers, he healed the diseases of the devotees and insisted them to regularly do puja to Shiva Lingam and to offer annadanam to the poor people, in order to get all propensities in their life. He has also done lot of charitable activities and used to provide wholesome meals to the poor people and educated the young children and taught the ways of living a peaceful and happy life.
In the year 1994, Swamigal attained samadhi. His Samadhi is situated in Gnanamurthy Nagar, Ambattur, chennai. Still now lot of devotees are visiting his holy Samadhi and getting his divine blessings.
